Returning the amended copy of Financial Instructions which I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 290 of the 10th. of September last, formed the enclosure to my Despatch No. 212 of the 7th. June, 1901.

2. Agreeably to your instructions, Rules 115 and 116 relating to Imprests have been retained in the new edition of the Financial Instructions, the Acting Colonial Treasurer having reported that without much extra work they can be complied with.

3. I transmit herewith copies of the Instructions as issued in their final form.
